Lovely to see you @StickyTheStickInsect - glad to hear your dad is getting better, and don't stress about targets. I don't have any and just use the encouragement of everyone on this thread to find the motivation when possible.
In other news, I think I have just decluttered the mortgage, woohoo !!! 😁
(Paperwork to confirm this will take a couple of weeks).

regnbue - I am another one who likes to hibernate. I haven't been out since Sunday.
@StickyTheStickInsect - I remember the feeling when the mortgage is gone. Well done.
Morning all.
I set my phone alarm, so I didn't forget to take my tablets at a reasonable time. Had some pain in bed but my watch says I had 9 hours of sleep. I went back to sleep after the morning alarm.
Wet here today.
I am going out to get cash and pop in the building society as I am confused about my new debit card having a different long number.
Hope everyone has a productive day.

Sticky, glad your back. I think you have done loads for someone who thinks they haven't done much. Decluttering is such a personal experience, real life happens.
I did my huge decluttering over several years and now just declutter as I come across things. I gave up counting after the bulk had gone, it wasn't helpful for me anymore. For someone not actively decluttering I think I get rid of a lot though. I am deffo not an abundance person any more.
Granny Kate, I feel your frustration with getting house jobs finished. I am desperate to get on with stuff in the house. I find myself thinking about Christmas now and I would really like to have some things done by then. Trouble is you just have to wait for decent tradespeople.
Congratulations on decluttering a mortgage Yorkie1.
We are going to the theatre later, better crack on

I have done quite a few things this morning but not everything on my plan.
996 Two shelves in pantry cupboard emptied and relined - everything back in better order and a couple of things out
997 Two other kitchen cupboards sorted out and moved around
998 Cat litter box emptied and thoroughly cleaned and refilled. He doesn't really use it but I was surpised to see he must have used it in last few days. All fresh and clean now.
999 Two bags of tomatoes to freezer. Still loads in the greenhouse but frost will get to them soon.

My husband just lugged three whole bags of stuff to the charity shop!😀
My new friend was saying that she has lived in her house for 30/40 years and she just kept saying to her husband "Just put it up in the attic" and for some reason now she has started decluttering. She said her attic is overflowing with stuff and she didn't realise! She is making headway with clearing it out.
If anyone didn't realise the new series of The Diplomat is out now. I think some of the ladies on here are a fan of Rufus Sewell.😍

It was wet and windy here when I went into town.
I sorted out my bank card - seems the number doesn't change when you get a new credit card but does when you receive a new debit card.
I did some shopping so okay until next week.
I finished a gnome for my bestie who has mauve/purple in her hair. Bestie is getting a green vintage camper van and wanted green gnomes.
I named her Sylvia. So bestie will get Seth & Sylvia on Sunday.

Thursday was a bright sunny day with a high of 21°C, low of 14°C & a SW wind which made it feel 1° cooler. Shopping day so I wrote a 4 day menu plan & a shopping list. DH loaded up the car with the clutter from the garage + an empty paint can (1774) & a small tin of metal bits (1775 - 1778) & it was all dropped off at the Tip on the way to the sm. Whilst DSis & DH were out, neighbour A popped round to collect her parcel & we then chatted for about 30 minutes on topics ranging from scary neighbour to TFL consultation about change of bus routes/removing one bus route & from misuse of closed down police station to how lovely it was that my DH’s sister & BiL received a card from the King & Queen for their 60th wedding anniversary. A’s parents are coming up for their 60th wedding anniversary so A will be investigating - hopefully she will have enough time 🤞 Shopping put away. Window cleaner came alone today as his wife was unwell 🤧 - chatted to him for a few minutes & then paid him. Dinner was sausages, mash, baked beans & chopped tomatoes. Wudupa1779 - 1780 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
1781 - 1782 Kitchen & lr detritus - binned
Paid the milkman - unfortunately the dairy has had to increase prices - 10p per 2l but 15p per pint in glass bottle 😣
Friday - it rained in the early hours but is now bright & breezy with a high of 17°C, low of 9°C & a brisk NW making it feel 2° cooler. DH has a school reunion in Kent this evening so took the car, left 15:40 as he is booked into a hotel.
Lovely to see you Pennypincin 👋 Some great decluttering 👏 Hope you have a lovely time in Scotland & Yorkshire & that the weather is kind ☺️
Lovely cheerleading Florenceem 😊 Relieved to hear that you had a better night’s sleep (Tuesday) 😮💨 hopefully the first of many 🙏 Great work decluttering ingredients into meals & topping up your freezer 👏
2Scratters, how wonderful that you had the opportunity to see woodpeckers close up 🥹 beautiful birds - but such a pity that it was stopped for what sounds like a rather spurious reason ☹️ I am the queen of procrastination 😉 so well done on mowing the lawn especially using the pull cord mower 👏 Hope you enjoyed your lunch date ☺️
florianatwobob, what a lovely place to live ☺️
Lovely post Brie ☺️
DH called 17:10. A slow journey with lots of traffic which took twice as long as it should have 😞 He will be home tomorrow lunchtime. So much for catching up with the cheerleading 😞 See you later 👋

@regnbue I’m In North Herts and we have a thriving population of Black Squirrels. There was even a pub named after them in a nearby town. The museum there had taxidermy examples of an albino, grey, red and black squirrels all in a cabinet when I was young.
The black ones are a variant of the greys but generally a bit smaller and, I think, more scraggy looking.Where I used to work we had colleagues travelling down from the midlands who were regularly astounded that squirrels came in the limited edition black colourway. We were all blasé about it as we’ve grown up knowing about them.
