I went to bed late last night so got up late.

I am having a delivery today - hope it is all the 3 items I ordered yesterday.

I am not eating a lot at the moment - it seems that is usual me for me in time of trauma.

Dull and cloudy here. I plan a day at home - first for 9 days.

Having a cup of tea then I will do the ironing.

I spoke to J at Church about her smart watch. I may get one as the watch I have is a basic one.

Had a message from my son - he wants to speak to my bestie when he comes down here at the end of the month.

@vulpix I did smile at Mr V harvesting the blackberries with secateurs but he is well trained for harvesting raspberries😁 Coreless raspberries disintegrate when you clean them so I cut each one individually - it's my mindfulness time.

@Florenceem In my experience, love, grief, anger and despair etc., sit in more or less the same space in our brains and it's very easy to move from one to the other for no apparent reason; grief can be felt as anger and love as despair. And I wholly concur with @Miss_BaLu about this being a safe space to express those emotions.
IMO we now live in a society where perfection is expected; it's what shown to us on TV and social media even though those images are manufactured of sell us a lifestyle to make someone else rich. No longer are you allowed to be who you actually are without being made to feel a failure if your life doesn't look like those images, often with tragic outcomes. I'll put my soapbox away now. 💕

Agree with all.comments about this being a safe place, and also about keyboards etc.

Decluttered a charger to someone. And should have taken my sandwiches for my trip but left at home so will be decluttered by dd2. Dd2 did more on her room and we've looked out a good duvet to go to the donation hub and she may release her collection of erasers - collected over 15 years!

I have left chaos to return to but hoping dd2 won't add to it given her good work in her room and having friends round.

Been flooded from an upstairs neighbour. Problem being that I own this flat and all those above me rent from the council.

They've been out and said they can't find a leak. It's coming in through a socket for an extraction fan and now I've got flickering lights in my hallway and kitchen.

The electrician is away to get me 2 new light fittings, I called back the housing officer to say he is replacing them due to finding moisture above the fittings so they won't charge me for it.

He said that I can pay to get the ceiling removed so I can investigate the leak, I said I'm sorry but no it can only be coming from above and they are all rented so if the ceiling is coming down you will be doing it!

Go @Miss_BaLu! Social housing providers can be so bad when it’s their property causing problems to a privately owned property. Equally they’re not the best at maintaining their own housing stock. Stick to your guns.

33/52 - the oldest job on my list was to clean the kitchen windows which I had been nagging my husband about. He's cleaned them yee-hah but also cleared the window sills. It looks lovely. Out of date items from jars on the shelves to the bin. Some tired unwanted storage jars out to glass recycling.

Agree. And maybe tell the council you have done so and that you've also contacted the fire department about the faulty wiring that they (council) are responsible for given that it's their leak.
