UC Application Query

The current act of this particular saga is coming to an end. I acknowledge it's probably the minority opinion based on the information I have divulged, but I am going to continue as I am and not prepare myself for a UC application at this time. The only thing that would change this is if I am placed in the support group via ESA.
There are cogent arguments for and against. The last piece of the jigsaw was the calculation on the mortgage repayment using my maximum overpayment (open until tomorrow). It would only reduce my monthly repayments by 10%, and it's a large amount of capital to achieve it. Hard to justify, and this is due to my fixed rate being quite low. If I do an overpayment in the future it would have far greater utility once my fixed rate has ended.
The other consideration is that I will definitely have a 4 figure tax rebate coming my way at some time after April, and a significant sipp switching bonus. Even If I got my capital below £16K I could see it going above with these new inflows. Plus I have locked in bonds that pay interest on maturity, that I can't access.
I'm sure I will be back for more assistance at some point ! I definitely now feel more armed with appropriate knowledge to help make the right choices at the time, it is appreciated

I contacted the DWP again today as I didn't get any ESA since 12th Dec. Anyhow as I was talking to them I asked if there was any update since I sent in the ESA50. The agent said that they haven't made a decision yet (submitted the ESA50 at the end of October). So it doesn't seem like much will be happening in the short term.0

Yes, not received the most recent fit note apparently. I had the issue last time that it was filed incorrectly (twice) as correspondence, but this time they're stating they'd not received anything. I posted it 20th Dec, of course it coincides with Christmas and bank holidays, so there is mitigation there.Muttleythefrog said:

To be on the safe side, I thought I would have another stab at sending it electronically, and after multiple new tries I finally managed to get it accepted! And a text confirmed receipt so hopefully it should be back in order.1
