Goodness! I turned my back for a couple of days to do some painting in the bathroom, and I come back to @PipneyJane in hospital.
I do hope your hand gets sorted out quickly and there are no other complications. Sending gazillions of virtual hugs and hopes for you to be able to knit again very soon. 🤗😊
I've been listening to Hugh Bonneville reading the Sherlock Holmes shorts on bbc sounds, while I was painting. I recommend a listen if you can, even with headphones or whatever people use these days. I know I'm showing my age! 😅
My reading right now is the Peter Maxwell books by M J Trow. Max is Head of the 6th form, but seems to get involved in murders! He's old fashioned and not exactly PC...but he's a nice chap.
I need to get cracking with a baby blanket I'm crocheting, so with a fair wind, it'll be ready before the baby comes! It's due in 4 weeks, so even at my snail's pace, it should be done in time.

Good morning. Just saw a consultant. The MRI shows a soft tissue infection but no calcification, which is a good thing. (X-ray’s showed something that could be a calcified spot.) They’re going to send me for a CT Scan, just to be sure. The antibiotics are working well. I was advised to keep moving my hand to avoid it getting stiff. (Knitting should take care of that.)

phew, that sounds like good news - I mean, not great that it’s still infected but nothing worse, and it’s treatable. I bet you’ll be only too happy to be knitting again.

oh, that does sound encouraging, @PipneyJane ! I would say, fingers crossed you can get back to knitting, but I'm not sure crossing fingers would help your circulation :D :D
I need to collate my clothing-coupons spent this year- just bought a cotton hoodie from Mr Sainsbury, from whom I have also recently had a grey cotton long-sleeved top and soft green brushed-cotton long-sleeved plaid shirt- all from their men's clothing range because the fabric is so much better quality than their women's, plus the cut is better- I don't actually want everything to be cut to be skintight!2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:
January (29): winter boots, green trainers, canvas swimming-shoes (15); t-shirt x2 (8); 3m cotton twill (6);
.
2025 second-hand acquisitions (no coupons): None thus far

Glad to hear the news @PipneyJane and that the antibiotics are working. Also great that knitting could have a restorative place. It always does but to physically help is a bonus

Good to hear you're improving @PipneyJane great news on the knitting being great physical therapy.

Good luck collating your coupons, @Laura_Elsewhere. Are you rolling last year”s unspent coupons forward?
I’m pleased to say that I can type with my right hand today. 😀

Afternoon All
Well, they’ve changed my antibiotics. I came out in an allergic rash yesterday, so this morning they put me on oral antibugs. Fingers crossed they work fast and that the rash goes down quickly. (It’s everywhere.)
I have a spend to declare. DH purchased some pure cotton knit pajamas for me in Sainsbugs: shorts and matching t-shirt. I was wondering if they’d qualify as either non-woollen combinations (4 coupons) or “non-woollen vest with sleeves” (3 coupons) plus “Other Undergarment not listed elsewhere” (3 coupons), because there isn’t enough fabric to justify the 8 coupon pajama cost. What do you think?
DH also purchased a nightie, which was little more than a huge - XXXL - man’s t-shirt, but it was far too uncomfortable to wear, so he returned it yesterday, on his way home from visiting me.
