@Nelliegrace in which case, we’ll appoint you Matron Emeritus, scaring your successor every time you walk near the cottage hospital because your standards are so high. 😉

We visited a busy Barnados charity shop yesterday, and among the clutter I found these. I gave £10, they were asking less. The hot water bottle is Lovatt’s Langley Ware made by Lovatt Potteries, Langley Mill, near Nottingham. Heatmaster was a range made by Ellgreave Pottery which was established by Henry Wood in 1921 and it operated as an associate company of Wood & Sons Ltd.

Is that an insulated cover for a teapot, @Nelliegrace ? Did it include the teapot? Quite a find!
It looks very stylish, too.

Those are lovely @Nelliegrace , and very practical too. The inner teapot is very similar in colour to the eggshell blue on Denby's Homestead range (which I collect) though there is some variation across individual pieces. Super colour. 😊

A spend to declare, and the first of the year… 3 bras, so 3 coupons spent. (And what a job to find them. I'm 36E, and there were none in the Bolton Middlewich branch, and just 2 in Carlisle - in any style!)
Love the insulated teapot. I've never seen one like that before.

Yet more socks bought - there's never been a year like it. When Timeteam dig down to 2026, they will find a solid deposit of socks, probably all bought by me. A mast year for hosiery. I had been promising myself some trainer socks as colourful ankle socks look a bit odd with some of my other things, and now I have four pairs, making 10 pairs of socks this year. I wasn't short of them to start with.
I've bought quite a few other clothes, but all through V1nted or the car boot sale, so they don't count towards coupons and none cost much so they don't trigger the £100 second hand limit (which I seem to remember was mentioned in discussion).
Today's entry was brought to you by pink, brown and cream stripes, worn for the second time. Tomorrow's will be off-white with lots of navy blue bows.
My Mum used to say 'Small things please small minds'. 😁She may have been gone a while but I bet she's thinking it now!

@Cherryfudge I bought lots of pairs of socks in Drops Alpaca from a knitter on eB during lockdown. A little bit of comfort. They made lovely presents to send to my sister and DD.

I am going to see The Longest Yarn next weekend! It’s at Peterborough Cathedral which is only an hour or so away. The dates available last time I looked some months ago, I’m so pleased I remembered to check.

Oohhh…. @PollyWollyDoodle I am so jealous! Have a lovely trip.
@Cherryfudge the important thing is that you will wear the socks and enjoy doing so.
