Oh dear! @PipneyJane hope it clears up quickly.
@Florenceem my next door neighbour used to get bitten regularly by horse flies too. She had a terrible time with them. 😖

Thanks everyone. I think it’s slightly better - my fingers are less swollen - but it’s small steps.
On a different note, did anyone else watch the BBC documentary, Children of the Blitz? It was broadcast on Monday. It was built around interviews made last year. Most moving and well worth a watch. (I recorded it and have just watched it.). It’ll stay with me for quite a while.

I'm so glad you're feeling a bit better @PipneyJane
I have coupons to declare. My son will be changing jobs shortly so I decided to make use of his staff discount while I could. 😁
7 pairs of light trainer socks for going out wear
3 pairs of black trainer socks for gardening - I somehow manage to get dirt ground into my socks which is impossible to shift
1 long-T cotton nighty. Not 100% necessary at the moment but I've begun to notice a few small holes, (not moths 🤞). I tend to wear them until the are definitely Sunday wear, then because I buy cotton, they head for the rag bag for decorating/wiping down.I think that's a total of 16 coupons which takes me to 20 for the year. Being on this challenge has really stopped me just buying things that take my fancy. I've been looking at socks since getting out my summer ones and wondering where they'd all gone. Then I remembered I'd binned a lot at the end of last summer as they were beyond even me wearing them. 🤣

I visited The Longest Yarn 2, Britain at War this afternoon at Lichfield Cathedral. The 80 display cases were in order around the Choir Aisles, the Vestibule and Chapter House, and there were several life-sized figures in uniform. I found more about the Women’s Land Army rat catcher here.
The Cathedral staff had put out some photographs of King George VI visiting Lichfield Cathedral in 1941.
The scene of Winston Churchill visiting the Coventry Blitz was very moving. I found the whole thing rather overwhelming, and stopped to light a candle, and of course I bought the book.
