Hello I have just gone through a divorce and find myself 53 and back with a mortgage as had to buy my husband out. I also have quite a significant amount of debt and need to budget for my new single life. I would love to join you all

Thanks bud. I have a habit of putting irons in the fire (IE regular savers, bonds, share plans etc) in order to pay off future debt but end up spending instead of reducing debt.
Once I had the missus' finances "in line" (now down to 22 managable cc's from 4) ive been battering the debt on my accounts. I do have two sizeable loans- but once i clear the credit cards away (only one left, had 4 at the start of the year) i'll concentrate on those! not far to go now.
This thread has most definitely convinced me to do the right thing each time I have excess or a bond matures etc- so i've everyone on here to thank- thank you all! 😘
