Alanp said:Sounds a bit like those heaters that you plug in to heat your home, if you watch proper diy on yt, he took one apart, inside was a 12v fan, the type you find on a computer, a small ceramic element and a circuit board, it would probably be better to invest in one of those windscreen covers..
Those actually work, they just have a very low output, you might be able to keep a car warm enough not to freeze up, but I doubt if one would defrost an already iced up car in freezing temperatures.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

And yet they still gave it two stars. Wonder what the extra star was for? Christmas miracle?eddddy said:
They're advertised in lots of places, with different names - lots of listings on Amazon in particular. The reviews are not good overall - many people suggest they're a scam.
One buyer took the device apart, and says it's nothing more than a box with a flashing red light...

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I've read some of the Amazon reviews. Seems as though several have enjoyed the flashing light feature and given it an extra star for that. I love how the "before and after shots" aren't simply photoshopped, they're just using random pictures of different cars in different places!elsien said:

Yeah, I can easily imagine my mum seeing these and thinking what a great idea for her lads. Amazon should be removing the listings.Grey_Critic said:Lots of Christmas presents being returned0 -

***But the nice man on YouTube said it was taking the UK by storm… ***It is advertising - My son worked at re-branding American Aluminum changing the name to Arconic (The people who made the Grenfel Towers cladding)Great ad but it did not change the fact that the company were the biggest polluters in the USA.You can watch it here.$5.5 million they spent on it then sacked the CEO for doing it.

On the subject of frosty windscreens, make sure you turn off your auto wipers at the end of each day.
Otherwise when you get back in the next morning and turn the ignition on, they'll scrape and even struggle to wipe across the frozen screen (until your magic box defrosts it fully)0
