Is this a scam? How can an electromagnetic device get rid of frost?

Give us a proper link so that we can properly ridicule it.2

They're advertised in lots of places, with different names - lots of listings on Amazon in particular. The reviews are not good overall - many people suggest they're a scam.
One buyer took the device apart, and says it's nothing more than a box with a flashing red light...

CEng MIET here who says they’re rubbish (literally)
the only form of electromagnetic radiation that would help in this way operates at infrared frequencies and uses a lot of power… so stick a patio heater over your car and all will be well!0 -
The picture is of a Tesla which is surely defrosted by pressing the relevant button on the app from the warmth of the kitchen table like we do with our Zoe on frosty mornings?
Del Boy used to sell the Inframax Massager which I understand was also very effective...

Well, the "frost breaker" must be good then if it is integrated with the Tesla app 😉WellKnownSid said:The picture is of a Tesla which is surely defrosted by pressing the relevant button on the app from the warmth of the kitchen table

I regularly use a similar device, it is called a "fan heater".If I have to take the car out onto roads covered in corrosive salt and sharp grit designed to damage the undercoating and allow the corrosive salt to do it's work, I place it on the seat and roll out the extension lead from the house.20 minutes later the car is frost free.It doesn't harness the power of electromagnetic waves, only electromagnetism!I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science

Sounds a bit like those heaters that you plug in to heat your home, if you watch proper diy on yt, he took one apart, inside was a 12v fan, the type you find on a computer, a small ceramic element and a circuit board, it would probably be better to invest in one of those windscreen covers..0

You mean the one that was developed by "James Bailey" - after the heating broke in his school / university and the state refused to foot the bill to repair it and students were left in minus ten degrees.Alanp said:Sounds a bit like those heaters that you plug in to heat your home, if you watch proper diy on yt, he took one apart, inside was a 12v fan, the type you find on a computer, a small ceramic element and a circuit board, it would probably be better to invest in one of those windscreen covers..
His invention, which harnesses the Bernoulli principle using a piece of wet flannel and two strips of copper foil, was able to heat a warehouse from freezing to 20 degrees in just three seconds using a single AA battery and is destined to disrupt the FORTY BILLION DOLLAR heating industry. Unfortunately when the FORTY BILLION DOLLAR heating industry heard about his invention they lobbied the government to get it banned.
Thankfully, the last few units are still available for just £49 if you order right away.

If you want to have less frost the Gadolinium crystal powered devices look great (if you like aromatherapy)!

Funnily enough, I’m struggling to get investment in my new invention to revolutionise the electric car industry, if we install hamster wheels in our EVs, then we could use said hamsters to power them, I’m struggling toWellKnownSid said:

get more than three hamsters to the mile atm, but I’m sure with proper funding this could be easily overcome, then there’s obtaining planning permission for the huge hamster farms which would truly corner the market, anyway, after my Christmas lunch and a few sherries, it’s out to the garden shed to work a few things out…0
