Well, it turns out (after spending two days in A&E waiting for x-rays on a bank holiday weekend) that it's not her hips playing up. She needs a new knee as her left one is so far gone, it no longer locks into place and keeps giving way - hence the falls. Doctors tomorrow to see what they say.

That is what I used to do Dizzycap. It's only in recent years that I've been able to post even though I had been reading all the progress that others were making for a few years before finally taking the plunge and joining properly. The motivation that so many people have - and are prepared to share with others - is, truly, so inspiring

And in today's shamefaced let this be a reminder not to hide a stash too deep, I have £100 in £2 coin and £20 in £1 coins heading to the bank tomorrow as that little sock added up a bit.
A few loose £2 coins have gone into the pig, where at least I can keep an eye on the blighters.Thank you @Bob2000 for encouraging me to empty the sock!

You should plonk the sock on the counter to see their faces! 😀.
I make it a rule unless l have at least £20 worth of £2 coins. l dont bother to pop into my local building society branch.
