Severn Trent - I do not trust their tactics?

I'm sorry to all those who are saying it's just the old farts complaining, but we are currently being targetted by STWA, who we all know do not do anything out of the goodness of their heart. They claim on their website, (foru won't let me post the link) "We won’t force you to change how you’re billed—but we do believe that measured billing is the fairest way to pay, as it’s based on the water you actually use."
Yet yesterday I & many thousands other customers received that due to the Environmental Agency deeming Severn Trent water area is severely stressed they without consultation are moving us to a metered supply. How is moving us to a metered supply going to help that? According to them we will save money, but they have provided zero information to support that claim, this is not about us saving money now, this is about the huge price rise which is coming.
The fact that the water is severely stressed is due to the incompetence of STWA failing to invest in the infrastructure & instead giving the senior managers eye watering pay rises & paying shareholders divides.
So back to the STWA fanboys, how will metering our supply (which it already does) help them? Think it through it's not about now, it's about the future.0 -
Well, I saved a bunch of money when I became metered. Also, if it's a directive from the EA then it's not Severn Trent forcing you, it would also be for the greater good.
There are also water shortages in Scotland where water is not privatised.
PS. Not a fanboy

The abverage metered bill is about half the equivalent unmetered bill. You're very likely to save money.PhaetonS said:According to them we will save money, but they have provided zero information to support that claim
