Vauxhall Finance / Stellantis now
Dear [REDACTED]
|
Thank you for your email dated 08 February 2024 asking for confirmation of whether we paid the dealer a discretionary commission for your introduction to us.
After checking our records, we can tell you that there was a commission model associated with your agreement. We are in the process of confirming if this is subject to the Financial Conduct Authority communication on the 11/01/2024 and will respond to you when this has been established. If we find that we did not pay any discretionary commission, then we will inform you immediately.
If we identify that we did pay a discretionary commission to the dealer, we will treat your email as a complaint. We normally have eight weeks to send you a final response letter, however the pause introduced by the Financial Conduct Authority, means the period starting on the 11 January 2024 and ending on (and including) 25 September 2024 is not counted when calculating this eight week period, so we'll be in touch with you after 25 September 2024 to provide further update. So i chased up for an update on this as never heard anything ever since this email from April 2024. Now i need to go to stellantis as vauxhall finance is now them and they are advising the following: Thank you for your email dated 22/12/2025 asking us for information on any commission arrangements connected with your credit agreement.
So where does that leave me as vauxhall finance at the time confirmed it but now stellantis says no. |

So where does that leave me as vauxhall finance at the time confirmed it but now stellantis says no.First one is a search that doesnt need your finance agreement. It just needs to know what dealership it was, as DCA/commission would be at the dealership level. So, they can tell from the dealer if there was the possibility or not without needing sight of the finance agreement.
The later one is saying they cannot find the agreement.
So, both statements can be correct.
Wait until the FCA have published their findings and requirements from the recent consultation. Then following the scheme instructions, try again.
