Best Financial Decision of 2025

I refreshed mine in October, I wanted to free up funds but retain the accounts so refreshed the accounts.Kim_13 said:
I suspect another entry will be refreshing Skipton before they launched new issues which only permitted one Regular Saver or Members’ Regular Saver. Got in the day before it changed for a family member, but not for myself as I wanted the end of December.newbieni said:

In my case I've had a few profitable ones:
Choosing to open the Saffron BS RAF RS in April before they corrected their Ts&Cs- them closing the account allowed me to grab £45 off them. Deciding to phone Melton to make a few transfers to other Melton accounts and them making a horlicks of it led them to give me £25 as an apology. Complaining to YBS about a technical issue allowed me to get £75 as an apology, there's been a few other complaints.
A last minute decision to open a Dudley BS EA account just hours before they launched their Loyalty RS was also a good one.0 -
I don't know if I've made my best 2025 decision yet ... will let you know shortly

1. Not panicking during the April tariff nonsense
2. (More professional than personal money-saving) Paying a £60 annual sub to join a trade association for my new work direction - mainly for access to an online forum of professionals in the same line of business, as well as the promise of legal support if needed. Turns out to have accelerated new client acquisition far better than my own marketing would have

Although the OP does state ``best financial decision(s)" so there's nothing to stop you having multiple, at least that's my interpretation of the question.Bobblehat said:I don't know if I've made my best 2025 decision yet ... will let you know shortly
I've gone with mine for the year so far, if I make any more good financial decisions in the next week and a bit I can always update this thread if I wish to.0 -
That too. Looking back, that was the point at which my RS collection really started to change from one maturing every few months to an almost complete savings ladder. Now to keep it going forward as I do find it useful.Bridlington1 said:Kim_13 said:

In that case, one of my contenders is .... avidly reading "Savings & Investment" section of this forum! It could turn out to be top of the list!Bridlington1 said:

I also find myself drawn to this definition of "best" from a popular search engine .....
