Applying for the Dudley Festive RS when it appeared on the Friday evening 😄3

Holding steady on my equity investments and resisting the urge to sell during the April turmoil when the "Tangerine Tarrifs" were being thrown about left, right and centre and world markets were plummeting.
Edit. Also purchasing 64GB of DDR5 memory back in August!

• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.3 -
Retiring. Accepting less income for more time.
First step on the way to breaking out of my Silas Marner mentality.8 -
ask me in 10 days time, who knows what could happen in that time!!1

Breaking the 'timing the market' rule and moving a chunk of uninvested pension cash into my favourite funds on 7th April. For the reasons in vacheron's post that worked out quite well.So far.....4

Understanding Indexed Linked Gilts and making a plan to move some of my multi-asset funds into ILGs to provide a guaranteed availability of funds for 10 years. I am no longer happy with the lack of flexibility of MA funds and want to separate equities and bonds (mainly ILGs).1

Shifting assets abroad and selling my rentals1

5.5% variable on up to £250 per month, unlimited withdrawals. Launched post base rate cut so the rate should hold for a while, especially if as expected rate cuts are a “closer call” from here. Though the recent cut was only 5-4, so I take it to mean there will be less of them.newbieni said:

I applied on Sunday morning, so even closer to the line without missing out. The Suffolk fixed I just sent off for might beat it in time, who knows.
I suspect another entry will be refreshing Skipton before they launched new issues which only permitted one Regular Saver or Members’ Regular Saver. Got in the day before it changed for a family member, but not for myself as I wanted the end of December.I hadn’t bothered with NatWest Reward until this year as I didn’t want to do manufactured Direct Debits. Back to paying my credit card by DD now that Halifax Reward is no more and the HEBS RS was very handy, £25 minimum anyway so having the DD gets me the reward and ensures I don’t get the RS downgraded if I choose not to fund it in that month.0 -
