It is just a way of putting money by - though many of us do gain interest by putting it directly into our own personal savings accounts.

It does not matter where you save it.  Mine goes into a savings account which does earn interest.  I include the interest in the amount saved. Obviously some do it in cash in a jar or tin which will not earn interest.

If it's not too late I'd like to join in?

We're going away for Christmas 2026 and I'd like to have some spending money stashed away🎄

I'm doing things in reverse and want to finish by 1st December, so finishing a little early. £120 tucked away for January :)
