Washing machine

I've got an integrated washing machine and it's beko. I was sure I registered it but neither can find the registration - I've got three appliances with them.
So I need to get the machine fixed or buy a new one. Current one was purchased end of 2020 so is 5 years old
Beko do a one of repair from £150. Or I can buy a new integrated one for £350 plus install costs.
I don't know if a freestanding will fit in the space as it generally needs more room either side.
Would I be crazy for a one off Beko repair or should I buy new and what are the best warranties etc?

Maybe start at the beginning and say what's wrong with it?davidgreygrey said:I've got an integrated washing machine and it's beko. I was sure I registered it but neither can find the registration - I've got three appliances with them.

Freestanding are exactly the same width as integrated ones but they tend to be deeper and dont have the cutout at the bottom to allow the kick board to run in front of it.1 -
It's broken, needs replaced or fixed. I'm not an engineer.
Freestanding manuals say they need a gap around it that built in ones don't0 -
It's already got an and panel either side so the kickboard isn't an issue0
-
But if it's broken because the selector dial is turning but not engaging, because its washing but not heating up, washing but not draining? Clearly one of these is a £10 job, some are things you definitely need an engineer for and if the drums knackered and leaking its probably the thin edge of a list of future problems so not worth addressing.davidgreygrey said:It's broken, needs replaced or fixed. Kickboards normally attach to the legs of the units rather than panels as they are designed to be removable.davidgreygrey said:It's already got an and panel either side so the kickboard isn't an issue0 -
Why are you mentioning kick boards?
Also Beko will do a one off repair for £150, so I don't need to know what the fault is as it's already costed.0 -
5 years life for a Beko is about right?
£150 for a guaranteed fix (read T&C's) --- it appears to be a Domestic & General service rather than Beko themselves! If it can't be repaired is it credited towards a new one, somehow?
AO, for example, charge £125 for install of a new "built in", £25 to remove and recycle old, and £5 to unpack??? So circa £500 for a new, cheap, 5 year life expectancy machine... plus delivery?.0 -
Not sure what you mean by the beko comment.Rodders53 said:5 years life for a Beko is about right?

Also I never pay for removal of the old packaging or recycling of the old appliance, it's against the law0 -
Really, must be lots of retailers (like all of them) breaking the law then? What law is that then? Also I never pay for removal of the old packaging or recycling of the old appliance, it's against the law0 -
Because if you have an integrated appliance the kick board will go in front of it. If you are considering replacing it with a freestanding one the kick board will need to be cut.davidgreygrey said:Why are you mentioning kick boards?

You dont need to but its silly to pay £150 for a £10 part if thats all it is and is user replaceable and you need to read the terms about what happens if they deem it beyond economical repair... is it £150 lost or do they offer some form of credit.
Why do you have that weird idea? Also I never pay for removal of the old packaging or recycling of the old appliance, it's against the law0 -
Call a local repair person out.davidgreygrey said:I've got an integrated washing machine and it's beko. I was sure I registered it but neither can find the registration - I've got three appliances with them.
