Yes there is and it is way below that file size. You could upload it to a file sharing site.

What is the maximum allowable PST file then ?
I am not trying to transfer it to another PC - I am simply getting an error when running Outlook
I have PST files in excess of 40GB.

Edit. You could also take a look at this, but from what I've seen this seems to be ser as default to 50GB, so way larger than yours.  :/

    • The rich buy assets.
    • The poor only have expenses.
    • The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

Outlook, the fully featured one with PST files, is overkill for home use and is aimed at businesses.

Once the issue is sorted I would seriously think about moving to another email client where you won't ever have to deal with PST files ever again.
PST is simply the file format that Outlook uses to save it's databases of emails. Other email clients also have to save their databases of emails either locally or in the cloud.
  • Sorted it
I uninstalled and reinstalled Office - then ran SFC
    That fixed it !

If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.

Yes other email clients also have databases to store emails but I have never had those corrupt themselves whilst I have experienced issues with PST files and Outlook.  Outlook is still overkill for home users as it does so much more than just emails which is all most people want from an email client.

I have used outlook as an email client since i migrated from outlook express all those years ago and ive never experienced a corrupt .pst file.
Every time i get a new PC i copy over the .pst file to use on the new machine.
Why is having more features overkill? which specific ones can you not use in a home environment that you can in a work environment?
