Motorola phones
Hi
I'm thinking of getting the Motorola G06 as it has everything I need from my phone I think. My current phone is a Motorola E20 so I'm assuming the G06 will be better than my current phone why is showing signs is ready to retire and my budget it £70 as I don't have a lot of money for a new phone and this is just within my budget. I otherwise liked my current phone so was thinking of sticking with Motorola but I've seen some reviews saying it's got bad performance and Is very slow but these were tech reviews so not sure if they'd apply to a simple phone user. All I use my phone for other than calling and texting is browsing the web and things like online shopping , using Gmail , watching lots of YouTube videos and using YouTube music and social media mostly Facebook and instagram and facebook messenger and that's it i don't watch movies or play games ect.
Would the G06 be ok for my simple usage?

Comparing specs at GSM Arena they're quite similar phones, although the G06 has more memory and slightly faster CPU cores plus a bigger battery. If you think you'd be happy with a brand-new E20 if such a thing was available today, you'll probably be pleased by the G06.N. My wife and I have had several Moto phones and found them to be reliable devices and no "bloatware" pre-installed.Boojiboo said:Hi

At £70, the G06 looks good value, so long as you will remain within the storage capacity for all the apps you might add.1 -
Just to add that Motorola now download apps (primarily games) on a regular basis which they think you will like. You can stop this by disabling the MotoApps application. (May be called MotoApp Manager - depending on the version)3

I don't know about the G06, but I have a G35 (£99.99 at Argos). Like some of the "reviews" of the G06, a few reviewers of the G35 also complain about it being sluggish to use... well my G35 is pretty impressive for the money and is not at all sluggish. There were a few unwanted apps, but they have been ditched with none returning. Note the G06 has less memory than the G35.My only real grumble with the G35, is the camera is very poor in low light. By way of comparison, I also have an iPhone 13 which can take good pictures in low light, including outdoor scenes that include stars, and that is with the iPhone hand held. For a quarter of the cost, the G35 is good enough.Incidentally, I bought the G35 purely for one particular app that is not available for iOS (iPhone), and as a spare phone.1

Thanks for that PHK, I have just disabled Moto App Manager to hopefully prevent any further unwanted game etc. apps automatically installing.1 -
