  • I'm allowed to overpay by £5,100 a year so worked that out to around £416 per month.

I see. We were about the same and I never quite worked out the balancing act of trying to pay off as much as we could as soon as possible to reduce interest and possibly term, or being more restrained knowing we had some extra funds in hand in case anything else cropped up, and/or having that steady drip of paying it off to a plan. I think I did a combination of all three at times  :(:)

It's hard not to! I'm that desperate to get rid of it but I know it's gonna take time and patience - which I am lacking!

Managed to declutter 4 books, a notebook and a rather large flamingo teddy to my pals today.

Books are The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings set - my sister got me limited edition ones for Christmas.
Notebook just because L liked it.
Flamingo is from one of the bags of toys I got for free, gave it to them for their dog.

B&L almost decluttered an iguana teddy, most of the stuffing is in the bin but there's still some life in it. Confiscated it for now but will let them tear the rest of it apart before I bin it on Wednesday.

Really rather poor now, it's getting to that stage in January. Will need to check when payday is, I'll do that tomorrow when I log in.

Patience is hard to find when you’ve got a goal
    in mind!

The mid-month grind always feels worse in January I think. I hate waiting for pay day on the last working day of the month, but if it were any earlier it probably wouldn’t work out so well for us the following month. At least you are keeping busy doing productive things!

We get paid a week early in January but honestly it just makes February feel like forever too.

Sitting trying to finish a couple of work things before I can log off, been a crazy day.
