    Been another very busy day today with work and hardly had a minute.

    Between meetings earlier;

    Kitchen - done the dishes, moved some of the dog stuff around to make more room for tins of food
    Washings - Folded and put away some, another load in the machine
    Hall cupboard - Everything out and rearranged so I can put my Christmas tree on the top shelf. Now have room for the hoover, mop, brush and clothes horses in there

    I'll be stuck to this laptop for another couple of hours so back to it!

  • Been non stop since I logged in to work this morning. Just having a cuppa and a catch up on here before my next meeting at 11am.

    Started a Used Up list which I will update throughout the year to keep a track.

    Decluttering the last few chocolates in a box with my coffee now.

    I'll be decluttering my first £416 mortgage overpayment today.

    Woo - actually so happy about it.

    Transferring some money around in the accounts and I've already topped up the MOP account by another £424. Now the way my brain works is that I've allocated this to December 2026 but will just hold it in the account in case of emergencies.

    What I'm going to do is try and top up the MOP account with as many additional payments as I can so that whenever I get to the same amount of months left as I've got saved I can just do a lump sum.

    Why do I feel like that made perfect sense in my brain but won't too anyone else.

    Well done.
    Making small mortgage overpayments really helped us get rid of ours. Is there a limit on how much you are allowed to overpay monthly?
