Advice before court and submitting N180 form

Hi,
So this is the latest email from DCBL below:

Good Afternoon

Having reviewed the content of your defence, we write to inform you that our client intends to proceed with the claim.

In due course, the Court will direct both parties to each file a directions questionnaire. In preparation for that, please find attached a copy of the Claimant's, which we confirm has been filed with the Court.

Without Prejudice to the above, in order to assist the Court in achieving its overriding objective, our client may be prepared to settle this case - in the event you wish to discuss settlement, please call us on 0203 434 0433 within 7 days and make immediate reference to this correspondence.

If you have provided an email address within your Defence, we intend to use it for service of documents (usually in PDF format) hereon in pursuant to PD 6A (4.1)(2)(c). Please advise whether there are any limitations to this (for example, the format in which documents are to be sent and the maximum size of attachments that may be received). Unless you advise otherwise, we will assume not.

Kind Regards,

Litigation Support

Where exactly can I find this N180 form? Looking at the form, are there any boxes I want to tick yes or no to specifically.  Suitability for determination without a hearing they have ticked yes so do I need to tick no? And how likely are they to send someone to court to defend the case as surely is no one turns up then I automatically win. Also, after I submit the N180 form, presumably I’m just waiting for a court date.

Thanks,

Rich

Cheers. They submitted their form on the 10th of December so I guess I’ll receive an email from the courts soon. I did find the form online but I guess I’ll just wait…

The courts don't email it, they post a paper version to you, so check your MCOL claim history to see if they posted it

Download the N180 DQ pdf document from the government website and fill it in

You can email it as an attachment to the DQ email address at the CNBC in Northampton

You wont be using any paperwork,  nor will you be posting it as a paper document either

All of this stuff is already in the first 8 steps in the Template Defence thread.

I am so bored seeing that same old DCB Legal template reply posted every single hour of every day as if it's new or important. I don't know why posters don't just take a phrase from it and search... you'll see... we never want to see that ever again, TBH!
