Upcoming flight with delay history

Hello members - I am flying out next week on a foreign low cost airline from Stansted airport with one hour and thirty minutes stop over in another country and then second onward flight to my destination. The reservation has both flights under same ticket. When I booked with this airline the flights were going on time but more recently the flight is consistently departing around two hours late which means I will miss my connecting flight. Is there anything I can do in advance or I just have to wait until my flight. The airline has also other flights earlier in the day if I go to the airport early and know that my flight is going to be late then can I demand to be put on earlier flight if there are seats available? Any help will be much appreciated

If the airline has already notified you that the flight is delayed enough to be sure that you'll miss the connection, resulting in a delayed arrival at your final destination by over three hours, they're obliged under the UK regulations to book you onto an alternative flight at the earliest opportunity, so, even though this normally means a later flight, if you're present at the airport in time for an earlier flight with availability then they should book you onto it.ahsan said:The airline has also other flights earlier in the day if I go to the airport early and know that my flight is going to be late then can I demand to be put on earlier flight if there are seats available?0 -
They have not notified yet but if incoming flight on the day is delayed then I would know that mine will be delayed too.0

It's not unheard of for flights to make up time, so even if the inbound flight arrives n minutes late, that doesn't signify that the outbound one will be delayed by the same, and likewise delayed departure doesn't necessarily equate to the same scale of delay on arrival. Unless it's completely obvious that you couldn't possibly make the connection then you're in their hands as to what they're prepared to accept regarding likelihood of missing it.ahsan said:They have not notified yet but if incoming flight on the day is delayed then I would know that mine will be delayed too.0
