i have a sony ericsson K800i and there is a icon on the screen that i cant get rid of, its a pale blue square with three small rings in it like planetary orbit rings, it is in the top left corner of the screen next to the signal meter. Does anyone know what it is for and how to turn it off? i havent seen it on any of my other phones and i cant find anything in the thin handbook supplied.
Thanks in advance

Thanks, i hope you're right and it is just a reception icon, as i have heard of people getting billed for using the internet and things like that without knowing, and i dont want that to happen:A R.I.P. its deffo the 3g icon.
to turn it off, Menu > settings > connectivity tab > mobile networks > gsm/3g networks > gsm only.
networks like 3 have disabled this menu as it costs them to use oranges 2g signal0 -
thanks Gaming Guy, you're a star! just followed your directions and its gone, i had to restart it though as the signal disappeared after i changed it, but its back full now. Thanks again buddy.
