Mexico - Family with children, is August a good time to go for family?

We'd be staying on a AI family resort but just wondered if this was a good time of year to visit Mexico - in August?

If you want to go in the sea, Google "Sargassum Season" for your chosen resort.

AI is such a waste of going to MX

It's a big place, which part of the country you going to?

Most brits go to the Yucatan Peninsula, August is one of the wettest times of the year but generally you are talking low 30s with brief but heavy afternoon showers, it's very different to a cold and wet uk autumn. It is however peak seaweed season and something a lot of the peninsula suffers from. There is a big range in how much effort resorts put in to dealing with the it.

It really depends what you want out of a holiday - what you want to see, what you like to do, or whether your ideal is to stay mainly in the hotel and just venture out for the odd day trip.
It’s far too broad a question as it stands.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Given that the OP started another thread 20 minutes after creating this one there doesn't seem much point in  posting any more responses here.
