Best country to holiday for AI family of 5?

We liked the heat (and breeze of Egypt) but looking to go long-haul for our final big family holiday, 2 adults, 3 children - looking for heat and a resort (multiple pools and resturants)
Any tips or advice would be great! Or any hotels you would reccomemned.
The budget will be around 15k, August time, ideally 3 weeks. Thanks

How old are the children? That might help to offer suitable answers.0

The usual reason for long haul is to escape UK winter or visit a country for the experiences.
If its just about pools and restaurants European resorts are full of amazing AI hotels and in August there is no problem finding somewhere very hot.
Left field is a cruise on a family resort ship, most now offer AI and that may need a long haul flight.0 -
I'd probably look at Europe, with picking August and long haul destinations you are likely to get mixed weather, Barbados may be okay they are at the bottom of the hurricane corridor if I remember correctly, but you will likely see heavy rain showers. Not sure what the Sargassum is like there though.
Mauritius, but you need to pick wisely as to what side of the island you stay, but again rain likely.
Not sure on weather in SE Asia, you might get a bit more for your money in Thailand or Bali?
ETA: A quick look on Tui suggests the only long haul in budget is Mexico or Dominican RepublicMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

Perhaps a money saving forum is not the best to ask about £15k holidays given most here try their best to get the cheapest deals.0

Why bother with long haul if you are going AI and therefore 95% of the time will be in the resort?RedfordML said:We liked the heat (and breeze of Egypt) but looking to go long-haul for our final big family holiday, 2 adults, 3 children - looking for heat and a resort (multiple pools and resturants)

AI has its place in the world but if thats what I'm doing Id be looking for the shortest flight that gets me good weather and warm waters.
We rarely book AI and spend little time in the resorts and if you are spending most the time exploring the country then long haul makes sense to me to experience cultures, geographies etc totally different to the UK1 -
But given the context of wanting three weeks of AI for a family of five in August, if that's the going rate then it's a perfectly reasonable (albeit vague) question on a board like this - the fact that cheaper but entirely different holidays are available is beside the point! Value for money doesn't necessarily mean cheapest....marcia_ said:Perhaps a money saving forum is not the best to ask about £15k holidays given most here try their best to get the cheapest deals.1
