From memory, OPs mother has lived with her partner for 20 odd years. House in her name, partner may have paid something into the house but not clarified how much or what for.Mother has had a stroke - appears to still have capacity around finances but wants support as they are splitting up and the partner wants the house putting both their names prior to a sale which the partner will then do all the work facilitating before taking half of the proceeds. The partner has not been willing for the OP to be part of the discussions with the solicitor that they have engaged.
have I missed anything important? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.3 -
