in Water bills
Hi I am with SES water and within their standing charge they have a contribution which is for the above - and is used for people who can't pay their bills. It was £6.20 in January and is now £11.95. I have tried speaking to them to understand firstly why it has gone up by nearly 50% but secondly why it is that we are having to pay for the people who cannot pay their bills when their bosses are getting millions in bonuses? I have not been able to get an answer from them and am being told to go to Ofwat.
I have stated that I do not want to pay this as it states contribution however have been told this is compulsory. Has anyone else with SES spoken to them about this?

You need to contact your MP if you feel strongly that social security-style benefits shouldn't be made via utilities.
