    Cupboards I can live with but they replaced the wood effect counter top with generic white, it looks really bad.

    Sales team on site are stunned as they haven’t been told.
    Changing the worktop and even the door fronts is likely to be feasible for the developer, but you might need to be flexible about when the work is done - it may take them time to get the materials ordered and arrange a fitter.

    If they offer cash instead it may be less than the cost of getting the work done yourself.  So be sure accepting any offer will give you the result you can live with.
