Hi all,
I have the following thread to help folks with a downloadable spreadsheet here on MSE:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=238575
Please can anyone host the spreadheet for me on their website? The person who did it for me on MSE seems to no longer be on MSE and I need to make some urgent changes.
Any help much appreciated :T simply PM me your e-mail and I will send you the spreadsheet

Does your ISP not provide you with some webspace? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Ask Martin if there's any possibility of him putting it on the MSE site.
Does your ISP give you any webspace? Perhaps you could use that.0 -

My space, your space, create your own space online with Virgin Broadband. You can use it to share your photos, write a blog...or pretty much anything you like. Each Virgin Broadband package comes with up to 55mb of webspace to call your own.

If it's just a spreadsheet you could also sign up for a google account and use Google Docs.
You can import an excel spreadsheet into it and then from the spreadsheet goto the 'publish' tab and it will give you an address where anyone can view it. You can also give permission to anyone with a google account to edit it as well (Collaborators) if you so wish.0 -
Thanks all - thankfully someone came to my aid asap and it's in process now - the new 2008 Budget Spreadsheet will have a home for MSER's to download from ;o)MFW #185

Surely it is better to learn how to host the spreadsheet on your own webspace and then you are in full control and can easily upload any future updates/additions etc.

Eagerlearner, now the web page is there it really only takes 30 seconds to do an upload of a new spread sheet version.
But Expresso has a good point :-) being able to FTP files is very useful - honest!
So if for future reference you want to know how to update the files so you do not need to wait for a new version to be uploaded let me know and I can set up a web conference with Netviewer. That would let you see exactly what I do on my PC to upload the file - you do not need to install software for the web conference nor to be able to upload the files. ( I could always just copy and paste you some instructions too!)

P.S. Expresso, do you by any chance recommend CoffeeCup FTP?0
