No notification received yet about Winter Fuel Allowance

Apparently letters were supposed to go out to State Pensioners in Oct/Nov notifying them of upcoming WFA. I was receiving it no problem before (except last year) now I am having a bit of a panic as I haven’t heard from DWP. I am on State Pension only no extra personal pensions. Anyone else experiencing a delay?

Neither of us received a letter, but my wife’s £100 went in last week and mine went in this morning plus 2x £10 Christmas bonuses, so no need to panic yet.1

Have you checked your energy account to see if it in there already.Poppy_Golightly said:Apparently letters were supposed to go out to State Pensioners in Oct/Nov notifying them of upcoming WFA. WFA is paid into the same account as your state pension, not an energy company account.born_again said:

The OP is talking about the Winter Fuel Allowance benefit which will be paid into their Bank Account - the Warm Home discount which is paid via the energy supplier is something different.born_again said:

Had my letter a month ago and the £100 in the bank last week.
No £10 Christmas Bonus yetNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -
My neighbour got his WFA two weeks ago and his £10 this morning. He had his letter about a month ago too. I checked my payments for 22 and 23 and they arrived mid November. All into my usual bank account.Flowers are sunshine for the soul0

Both winter fuel payment and the £10 are in my account but I haven't had a letter about either. Some years the letter comes but the payment is really late. You really can't read anything into it.1

Thanks that is reassuring. No sign of either yet, but I’m living in hope!GaleSF63 said:Both winter fuel payment and the £10 are in my account but I haven't had a letter about either.
