Advents 2025 chat

My advents will be minimal this year as i don't do IG or FB or X comps, my choice entirely but minimal friend groups means all this liking stories, tagging etc is nigh on impossible. I also enter from my laptop and it plays havoc with it for some reason.

Done advents for years ( was on another username on here then so not a newbie lol ) and really noticed this year how it's minimal on actual websites and i miss that as as i always liked to have a look at the lovely designs

I wish more businesses would do web ones. I like the graphics on a lot the calendars! I hate entering on socials, a lot like others, I don’t have the friends to tag & there is the impending doom of being banned!

Me too! It wasn't even all about the Haggis. I just loved seeing what was on the webcams, such as catching a live wedding on the Gretna Green cam, or someone holding up a 'will you marry me' sign in Time Square.

Omg! I've just had my insta account permanently disabled! No insta timeouts like in previous years. I just suddenly got a message saying they were reviewing my account, followed by another saying that it's been permanently disabled!! No right of appeal. 

I was thinking it was going well this year as I hadn't had any 'time outs' like in previous years. So flippin annoyed. I wish companies would go back to website advents.

Wow. That seems harsh.
It's almost as if Insta don't want people to use their site.
I don't know why they can't, in this day and age, tell who genuine users are and who are spammers.

Oh no! As @WeAreGhosts said, it does seem really harsh!
I wish more companies still had the website advents too - I much prefer them!

I haven't bothered looking at the advents this year. I didn't bother last year either as I decided to go away last year and this year so missed the beginning of them. My main priority is trying to catch up on the main board comps. I had a couple of years where I put a lot of effort into them for very little back so I am enjoying just doing my usual comps as it is less time consuming.

Now I'm worried. I was wondering why I had not got any timeouts yet....Do you post other things on your insta? Or is it purely a comping one?
