There appears to be a lot of missing comps this year - early ones like Welcome to Yorkshire etc - and still too many comps on IG. How do people comp on IG without getting banned?

Too many tags etc can get you a time ban

I've not had a good look at the advent comps yet but I wonder if they can be split between web, FB and IG comps (separate threads) or is that too much to ask

I've not had any issues getting banned from IG in a good few months now and I enter a lot of them on there! I'm hoping that means they've made some improvements!

 I don't enter any IG competitions because I don't have enough friends to tag without them getting mad

I don't know, I only do about 5 tags a day on IG currently. In december it can get way above 20 tags per day with all the advents and that's when you get timed out.

Tourist Trail are either not doing one or leaving it til the last minute. 

Oh the dreaded insta tag ban fiasco. 😡

I'm not sure I can be bothered with the advents this year, but I also don't want to miss out!  I don't like that so many are on social media now, and there's the looming threat of potential IG ban as others have mentioned!

I had a similar problem but now I've got lots more friends to tag, PM me for more details if you wish.

I'm sick of Insta and won't be doing any Advents on there this year.  Once you get noticed - FOR WHATEVER REASON - by their Bots, you are on borrowed time.  

I use IG regularly for other purposes (sketching), so I have a normal, active account, which has no reference to competitions or prizes on it.

In past years, when entering any comps on IG (and I never even entered that many!) -  I have done all the things mentioned above, such as reducing the amount entered / reducing the amount of tags, / watching what words I use when commenting / watching what emojis (if any) I used, etc etc etc... yet I had been picked up by their Bots for some reason, and from that point NOTHING I did could save me from their stupid time-out bans.  Final straw - and this was when I was hardly entering any comps on IG - they sent me notification that my account was being closed unless I send them verIfication, blah.  

So I am staying well away from IG for the advents.  Maybe you'll stay lucky and under the radar... but just watch out!
