Warm Home Discount but pay a service charge - do I quality?

As above, I received the letter and am wondering if I qualify even though I pay for my heating via a Service Change to my HA?
I know the Park Home renters get it, but would I?

I'd have to have a look through the documentation to be sure but if you have a domestic electricity account directly with a participating supplier (or did, on the qualifying date in August), I can't imagine there'd be any reason why you wouldn't be eligible.0

I can't figure out how park home residents qualify but I may not0

Is that for electricity as well as your heating? I understand you pay your HA for heating but do you also pay a supplier for your electricity?rangout said:Spoonie_Turtle said:I'd have to have a look through the documentation to be sure but if you have a domestic electricity account directly with a participating supplier (or did, on the qualifying date in August), I can't imagine there'd be any reason why you wouldn't be eligible.I don't - the HA has a commercial contract due to there being one boiler to heat the entire buildingI pay the HA who pays the supplier. Park home residents can apply because there's a separate industry initiative under the Warm Home Discount umbrella, they don't qualify in the same way that everyone else in England and Wales do.0 -
My service charge covers electricity, gas and water0

Ah right. In that case you are not a domestic electricity customer in any way so I don't think you can qualify for the standard Warm Home Discount scheme. The Ofgem guidance for the scheme is for suppliers who directly supply domestic customers, and unfortunately beyond that and the existence of the scheme specifically for park homes, I don't know if there are any alternatives. My knowledge simply doesn't extend that far.
I suppose you could phone the WHD helpline and see what they say, if they can direct you to any alternatives - but they're not particularly reliable so if they were to say you are eligible then you'd have to press them for specifics, because the scheme is funded and payments administered by domestic suppliers.
I don't know if anyone on the energy board would know of any alternatives. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/categories/energy1
