Dreamland snuggle up warming throw, disappointed

I purchased the above mentioned throw, and it feels warm at max setting, which the manufacturers say cannot be used like that for more than 5 minutes.
At lower settings the warmth can barely be felt.
Am stuck as what to do. Should i try a different throw, or is there an alternative such as really thick blankets or any thing else you can think of
This throw seems really slim so i doubt it can trap heat very well
Any pointers will be appreciated
Thank you

An Oodie does it for me. Yes there are cheaper versions but if you buy in the sale they are certainly worth the money.

I had a heated seat pad, but when it stopped working the only ones I could find said you couldn't sit on them. Irritating.

Now I find a gilet makes a massive difference, and you can get heated ones. If I'm really cold, I put an oodie on, with a hot water bottle in the pouch. Usually ready to remove a layer within half an hour.

But back to the Dreamland: how long have you had it, have you checked temperatures, have you asked them about it?

i just brought the dreamland  today and have flicked through all the tempertaures. It only seems to have decent wamth at the highest tempertaures, but in the instrutions it says not to use these tempertaures for long.
Also the dreamland is really thin and skinny, i don't think it can trap much heat or for very long.
Guess i am looking for a lot heavier heated throw, something that has a more robust heating system

If you've only just bought, is it worth seeing if you can return as not suitable?

Another comment, however: we have an electric blanket, 3 settings. High gets the bed really toasty. Medium is warm but not hot. Low barely seems to make a difference, BUT you can keep low on all night, not the other 2. Now, we don't keep it on all night, because DH would self-combust, but I sometimes have an afternoon nap. You can't feel the blanket on low make much difference, but I definitely feel toasty when I wake up.

So maybe the blanket would warm you up without necessarily feeling warm.

I'm sure there's lots more information in the Heat the Human article, but it is also worth thinking about what you're wanting to do, and whether a blanket is the answer. I think I'm too fidgety to want a blanket covering me, and I don't want to sit for hours. So a normal throw over a HWB on my lap is good for watching TV, but for sitting at my desk my oodie with a HWB in the pouch is better. And ALWAYS a vest, long sleeved thin jumper, warm shirt, longjohns, trousers, and my gilet. Plus warm socks and furry slippers of course.

Another thing i wanted to ask, is that i purchased some heated clothing, a pair of trousers and a top, they came with a usb cable for plugging into a usb port, i tried the clothing out by plugging them into my laptop but obviously my laptop can't put out enough power for the clothing, is there a power supply i can buy for this clothing
    Thanks !

Just get a wall charger and plug it into your normal three pin sockets.

I imagine whether the blanket feels warm depends on the ambient temperature, so if you are testing it on a warmish day it might not feel like it's warm.

    Which do you recommend.
My laptop usb output is 5volts at 1 amp, and it's not doing much
The next size up for wall chargers is 5 volts 2.5 amps
The biggest wall charger i have seen is 5 volts 4 amps
