Giving SIM to a family member - possible to change the number?

Sorry, perhaps not explained very well in the title.
I currently have a £1 a month Sky Sim. Unlimited calls/ text. I've out grown this and want more data. But this current sim plan would be ideal for my dad. He only needs calls and texts and I have never seen another contract so cheap.

Is there any way that I can change the number on this existing sim, but keep the same contract terms and ideally transfer that number over to my new sim, be it with Sky or whoever?

I am happy to get a new Sim, but I would rather my dad didn't get my current telephone number.

No, moving the number from the Sky £1 will cancel the contract, kill the service and leave you with an early termination charge.

EDIT : Sky Mobile have the 1GB plan at £2/mth today, might be more (or less) tomorrow.

    Would also lose the number.

Why? It's using a PAC to move an active number from one active SIM to another, the "to" number dies, not the "from" one.
