What are the best resources for stock picking?

I know all the jargon that is going to come if I do not preface this but currently 100% of my portfolio is in VWRP and I definitely want 5-10% of my portfolio to be individual stocks.

Bit of a sidenote but is would it be better to buy into the nasdaq 100 or an individual mag 7 stock (likely Tesla, Google or Amazon)

'Better' in what sense, and what's led you to identify those two particular choices out of the practically limitless alternatives?  At the risk of stating the obvious, if you want to buy individual stocks then investing in another index wouldn't seem relevant?
  • IMO there is no point over-analysing which ones to pick as everything is already factored into the market before you get there. Personally I would avoid ones which have already sharply gone up loads and look like they have a big down-side risk. Limiting yourself to 5-10% does show you know what you are talking about as you will know individual stocks are much more of a gamble than index funds like your all-world one.

Someone on Youtube once compared all the individual stocks he picked over 15 years and the S&P500 actually outperformed them. Personally I am looking to invest in the S&P500 or a Vanguard all-world ETF and probably won't bother with individual stocks but the all-time highs and recent performance is causing me to wait it out a bit longer before getting in.

Are these to be in an ISA or SIPP? If not are you aware of your tax reporting and accounting obligations?

Depends what criteria you are using for your picking - find the resource(s) that give you the information you use to make your decisions.

I use this website for guidance on which shares to buy, it has Tesla as a sell.

You know nothing about choosing individual shares and want to know about the best resources.

    Well you could

Close your eyes and stick a pin into the list of names of the S&P 500 companies see which company you hit.

Learn about the method called the "Dogs of the S&P 500" and pick 10 shares that way.

From those Dogs pick the "Optimum Single Share" using the
    (a) O'Higgins method or (b) Jim Slater Method.

Find and learn how to use a stock screener to help you pick shares.
Some stock screeners will not be free.

Just choose a name of a well known company you have heard.  Like one of the "Mag 7" for instance.
Of course I would expect you not to worry about the companies "Fundamentals"

Of course you could look into "Lazy Man" portfolios. There are many to choose from.

Wouldn't bother, with VWRP you have nearly 15% of your portfolio in 3 stocks anyway.
