BT Business T&C's

Has anyone had any experience of entering into a contract with BT for business broadband and not being notified or informed of the contractual terms & conditions? My sister (too stressed to post herself) had a sales call from BT in March where she agreed to upgrade to a different fibre service but was not informed of the detail around termination penalties (although she did tell them she would be moving within a few months). She was not sent a link to any T&C's to review and is now being told she has to pay for the rest of the 3 year contract to terminate. She did not realise she would have to pay the full contract, this was not made clear. Anyone else had problems with the full T&C's not being sent or explained?

I cannot believe that anyone in business would not have checked what they were signing up to, received an email with the contract details and checked those immediately especially as that person knew that they would be moving elsewhere shortly after the contract commenced.

I don't think your sister has told you the whole story.

One set of BT Business T&Cs:

You do not have most if any of the protections of domestic contracts is basically what I suspect this will boil down to.

Unfortunately with business contracts / business to business contracts, you are presumed to know what you are agreeing to rather than just agreeing to some random call out of the blue.
