    @ChirpyChicken - that's very kind of you.  I rang the garage to ask them about parking there.  The woman I spoke to was very friendly, but also expressed their frustration with all the calls they receive from people who have experienced this problem.  She felt it was very unfair, but also said that they were unable to help because they are only tenants and the airport owns the land.  So, I can check that properly, but it does seem that the airport are responsible for using UK Parking Patrol Office Limited.

    I'm honestly not sure if I'd be well enough to face court proceedings ... I suppose that's what happens to lots of people.  I'll give it some thought.

    Please don't give it any thought at all. Come on, a seasoned regular just offered to speak for you as your lay rep! I know that poster personally and he has over a decade of experience and does court cases all the time.
