It does ^ I tried it in Italy before when we went with my father before he died, in November, the house had no heating and I was frozen, lovely under both duvets though, just like a sleeping bag. I usually put the soft woolen blanket under me when I viist my sister, her house also has no heating bar the fire in the kitchen.

Also loved the Mallory Towers books, but I was also a horsey child so all the Pullein Thompson books were on my shelves, also the Silver Brumby series, and favourite programme of all time when a child, White Horses, I have the theme tune on a 45 record somewhere...

snoozer, I'd love to have all my books out too, maybe next year...

Snoozer I love The Chalet school too. I have all the books, a mixture of hardbacks, Armada editions and Girls gone by editions. I still read them. I’d love to have a full set of hardbacks, as some of the reprints are so heavily edited.
