NatWest cash ISA guidance weirdness

Yes just pay into the existing one. It doesn't matter when an account is opened, its when the money goes in. You can set up a new fixed ISA for old money, or add new money into an old ISA.so_many_questions99 said:Should I just pay into the one that's open? Will that still count as a contribution to my allowance for this year? In my head I just assumed that contributions to the new years allowance only should happen in new accounts?!
I'm guessing they thought you meant last/this year's fixed ISA? In any case its not strange or out of date, just because the government allows it doesn't mean providers have to. There'd be no point anyway in having 2 accounts that do the same thing with the same bank. Most people likely use multiple cash ISAs if they want to have different fixed rates running or spread the money with different banks.so_many_questions99 said:I called customer service and asked if the ISA from last year has been automatically updated to this year (since you can now open multiple ISAs right). Customer service said no I need to open a new one. But the website won't allow me to because of the existing one...!..Additionally the NatWest site seems out of date in how many ISA accounts you can open in a year generally. It's all very annoying and confusing....0
