  • I don't think it's getting settled. Their email said the client instructed them to gi ahead with the hearing if I don't agree to the £250.

Can I just confirm, if I am going for the hearing this Thursday,- I have my witness statement, my skeleton argument, all my evidence... Do I need to prepare anything else like an opening statement? How does the hearing go? Is there anything else I should know/remember?

Entirely depends on the judge. Almost always the Claimant will go with an opening statement first though. Sometimes it's more of a discussion, sometimes it's more formal and sometimes the defendant doesn't get to say much at all if the judge is minded to dismiss it early doors.

Just go in with the mindset of that none of really matters at the end of the day. If you lose they won't be having a party, you'll just a line on a spreadsheet for them.
