Update, the unwanted car owner actually does live on my estate, and has parked there for over six weeks and did promised the management company  to move it today. the car is still there. life goes on...  thanks for all the posts.
  • Just to play Devils advocate - are there any signs etc in the car park to indicate that the spaces are allocated for specific vehicles ?

If not then they could rightly claim ignorance.

I would be looking at how they are gaining access into a supposedly secure car park

The unwanted cars usually follow in behind a resident's car..
There have been notice left on their car.
I have found out the unwanted car belongs to a resident who rents, and was asked to move by their landlord but their car is still there.

  • Is he entitled to park too (for example, by proxy because the landlord is), just doesn't have a pass or keyfob to open the barrier so needs to tailgate others or circumvent it some other way?

The board has asked the property owner to remind their tenant where the can park,  I have emailed the board again, and ask to deal direct with the Landlord and / tenant, as it is unlikely the landlord has much say in this matter.

    Or......

What is the penalty if he doesn't park in the allocated area? I imagine eviction would not be on the cards, given the recent changes in law.

I am waiting to hear back from the said individual.
