Mis-sold car finance

I've read Martin's blog on here about mis-sold car finance but I am totally confused as to when to make a complaint?
Throughout his writing he says put in a claim, then further through it he says wait until early next year. This trend happens on several occasions throughout the blog.
I've emailed the team but they can't answer individual questions. They suggested I went to the forum.
So can any of you 'savvy' forum users give me a clear answer please.

Many thanks

No one knows for certain what the FCAs final decision is going to be. The current proposal is that the lenders will proactively have to seek out those that had an adverse outcome so irrespective if you try to claim or not the claim will be paid unless you have really gone to ground.

There has been some suggestion that those that have already claimed will be looked at first but thats only a timing consideration and complain or not a payment will come in due time if you are due one.

Clearly if the FCA changes tack substantially everything may change but seems fairly likely it will be a practice redress scheme as they've favoured them for a few years.

That is understandable.   Lots of vested interests giving conflicting information.

The FCA is currently consulting on the scheme it wants to put in place and finalising what will be needed and expected of the lenders.      So, nothing will happen until the scheme opens, but the FCA will publish the details before it opens.  So, plenty of time to see what you will need to do.  So, what to hear it from the horses mouth (the FCA).
