It's another QMMF product, so capital at risk, albeit low risk.1

Yes, and I note it is run by Moneyfarm at an interest rate that is higher than going direct.
I would still be interested if anyone has used eToro as a provider and if so, what they are like.0 -
I have just opened their ISA run my Moneyfarm and it's a nightmare so far. I tried and tried to open the ISA via their website, however, everything was in USD. When clicking on the Open ISA it asked me to add funds so, I only deposited £10. But ...... this went into a GBP account, not an ISA. After that, clicking on the Open ISA I was then taken through the process of opening an ISA. I now can't get my £10 out of my GBP account and can't seem to transfer it to my ISA. I don't think i'm going to transfer my other ISA in after this experience. On the GBP account it tells me and gives me a link 'To manage your card and more go to eToro Money app'. I downloaded the app and it doesn't save my log in details so have to enter every time, if i try and withdraw my money it allows is but then emails me to say not allowed with a link to the customer service which is in the other eToro app (different to the eToro Money app), again I have to log in to find it's a bot I get to chat to that is useless.Do note though, this eToro is all brand new to me, not at all straight forward for a novice, hence only depositing £10. Personally, this is not for the inexperienced and I'm glad I only put in £10.1

I was advised by their Chatbot that I needed to add more, to make it up to approx £26 as there was a lower limit. I've done that but still can't get my cash back and trying to talk to a human is impossible. I've raised a few 'tickets' via the bot but still waiting.1 -
Have got £15k+ with T212 from last year currently paying 3.85%, keen to open a new ISA and transfer the £15k+ in with better rate, eToro seems to be the highest at 4.65%, I missed the Hargreaves Lansdowne 4.55%.
Is there likely to be any better rates? Would like to try eToro but not had any experience with them or moneyfarm before.0 -
Asking for money to get your original money back it's called a scam.Hooli said:Hooli said:I have just opened their ISA run my Moneyfarm and it's a nightmare so far. etoro isn't a scam but IIRC from when I looked into it a while back its brokerage account had a minimum withdrawal of $30 (it does everything in USD) so it could be this new Isa or whichever account Hooli has is similar. Topping it up to the minimum amount and then withdrawing the lot would be the solution.flobbalobbalob said:

https://help.etoro.com/s/article/what-is-the-minimum-withdrawal-amount?language=en_GBThank you. I have topped up, now to £34 which is roughly $45. I have messaged them on FB now and they have advised they will look into this urgently. It is the worst thing not being able to pick up the phone and talk to someone. Each time I try to withdraw it declines and gives me the message "Unfortunately, we weren’t able to complete the transaction because this payment may go over your current account limits. You can check your limits here."Checking the limits only applies to a Green on Black account, I have a Bronze one, not mentioned in their blurb. Honestly, it's been nothing bust hassle. However, the ISA, by Moneyfarm, has been very good and is completely separate. I will update as and when I have a solution.
