Help/support needed with G24 Parking Charge at Meadowhall Retail Park

I’ve recently received a Parking Charge Notice from G24 for allegedly overstaying the parking limit at Meadowhall Retail Park in Sheffield on 28/10/2025.  Issue date of Parking Charge notice is 11/11/2025.

I visited various shops on the day and genuinely spent the full time (over the limit) at the complex.  I never left the premises during my visit.

Knowing that some stores have intervened in similar cases before, I have contacted multiple stores at Meadowhall Retail Park to ask if their managers can assist in getting this charge cancelled, but many have responded directing me back to the parking company or with generic responses.

I want to avoid paying the full £charge as it seems unfair to penalise genuine customers who support the retail businesses there. I’m keen to hear from anybody with experience of successfully appealing G24 parking charges at Meadowhall Retail Park, or advice on how best to get store managers to take action, or any other tips for fighting this kind of private parking charge.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

@Gr1pr - Thanks for the reply.

I'm struggling to find details.  Whenever I search I keep coming up with Meadowhall Shopping Centre, rather than the Meadowhall Retail Park - which is a different location and different car park.

It'll be at the entrance on site.

Just ignore the PCN otherwise. You will never pay a penny.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

@Coupon-mad - Thanks.  Unfortunately I'm now over 100 miles away.  I was visiting the area for the day.

Ignore it then, unless you move house.

The management for the Meadowhall shopping centre, which includes the retail park, is located in the Oasis Dining Quarter on the lower level. For general inquiries, you can call 0333 313 2000 or use the contact form on the Meadowhall website

@Gr1pr - Thank you.  I'll give that a try too.

I know there is the official appeals process from the parking company but I've been reading up on it for most of the day and it seems complicated and still unsure where to start with that, so trying what seems to be the easier route first.

Plan A is the best option,  it always is,  especially for paying customers,  so definitely complain,  it's the fastest way to get a resolution

G24 are not going to cancel,  even if the keeper appeals,  ( plan B ) , meaning up to 6 years of mither from debt collectors letters and lawyers

    I would concentrate on plan A  !

Its currently an unregulated industry,  cowboy country,  so little point in appealing,  but massive point in complaining

No, there really isn't. Forget it.

G24 tickets go to DCB Legal, who will make a court claim and then discontinue. They never go as far as hearings.

    So just ignore for now.
