My bill is exactly the same as previous occupant was in credit

Seems bit strange it should be the same amount he was in credit by. He is dead now . About £347 not even for 12 months seems steep. Not got my bill with me, suppose I should see if estimated or not. Supposed to be a smart meter. I will contact them.

    Welcome to the forum.
Check your bill. It should show the meter reading that your supplier has used.

So are you saying you are paying £347 (a month?) & when previous occupant left they were £347 in credit?

TBH, be amazing if any 2 owners used the same amount.

How do you know the previous owner was in credit? Surely any money that was due to them would have gone back to their estate?

If you are on Rateable Value rather than a meter then your bills could be the same  (except there was a significant hike in charges this year)
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
