UKCPS No Stopping Parking Charge

I have a motability car & I was dropping a friend at Leeds City Station and whilst I was stopped at the crossing & had traffic in front of me, so I literally couldn't move, my friend jumped out so they didnt miss their train.

Today, I've received a parking charge notice from UKCPS stating I owe £60 for stopping in a No Stopping area.

I wasn't stopped to let them out. I was stopped because of people crossing the road and traffic in front of them.

What do I do now?

I don't want them to go to motability/dealership where the car is from to reclaim the fine.

Motability register the vehicle in your name,  so neither Motability nor the dealership will receive anything,  which is why you received the NTK PCN letter in the post today

Have a good look at the other half a dozen similar cases about this scam site on here recently

UKCPS are not going to cancel the pcn,  so manage your expectations,  or ignore them

They have a few scam sites like this one

How is there no risk when Gr1pr said they won't drop the pcn? If they don't drop it then they'll take it to court.

We've just had to clear a ccj at at cost of over £300 with another company that we ignored.

As long as you dont ignore solicitors or the CNBC in Northampton and follow our advice you won't get a CCJ

They don't "take it to court " , it doesn't work that way

UKCPS or their solicitors would issue a Money Claim using MCOL,  from the CNBC in Northampton

That is just a claim,  not taking it to court,  its a lot of stages between a court claim against you using MCOL and a paid for hearing in your local civil court

Ignoring a Money Claim leads to a CCJ

I am suggesting that you ignore UKCPS and ignore debt collectors letters,  nothing else, definitely do not ignore official solicitors letters,  or a Money Claim using MCOL

So is it worth appealing at this stage or even speaking to the people at Leeds Railway station?

Thanks. I was struggling to find cases similar, especially as my car is a motability car.
