Sky Package Deal - Great saving but still not excited...

I'm going to get berated for this (and rightly so) but I was recently going through my monthly bills and shockingly realised I'd let my Sky Package contract slip (life got insanely busy) and I had been paying an eye watering £167per month for my TV, Broadband and landline. After getting straight on the phone with them and getting myself a MUCH improved deal of £114.99 per month (a saving of £624 per year!!!) I was delighted!!!.. for about 20minutes.  :|

I swiftly came onto the MSE forum and was reading up about everyone's Sky deals and sounds like I'm still paying a lot in comparison. I know a lot is to do with specific channel packages and broadband specs etc. but I'm still feeling uneasy about something I can't quite put my finger on. I don't feel like there's anything included in my current pack that I'd like to give up so I should be happier right?  :D

What exactly do you get for your money?    What speed broadband, what TV package and do you get free calls with the landline?        £114 a month to me is incredibly expensive.

I have Sky as well and currently pay £25 a month for 900Mbps broadband, £22 a month for Ultimate TV including netflix and £10 for Sky Cinema.    The only thing I haven't got is the Sky Sports or TNT sports channels and it costs me in total £57 a month.     They do provide me with a landline but I don't use it and don't even have it plugged in - I'm not sure if I get a call package included as I just use my mobile phone for all calls.
  • I think my breakdown is £29.00 for Sky Signature, £10.99 for Netflix (without ads) £27.00 for Sky Sports Complete HD is £9.00, 500mbps broadband at £38.00 and £1 for WiFi max.
I barely use my landline so now getting free incoming calls and £0.00 per month, only paying for making calls which I won't do.
I also cancelled my Sky Cinema with Paramount+ that was £13.00 per month.

I'm thinking now I could use the 14 day cooling off period and maybe haggle for an even better deal. Seems so many are not paying anything like I am. hmmmmm *Chin rubbing emoji*

On the TV package only, I'm in the notice period, been offered today Signature £24.50, UHD/HD £5, Sports £18 (Netflix with ads £4.99) so £17.50 better without broadband. Not accepting yet !

You will get a far better price if you go through the cancellation process. By the way I have Netflix with ads, but there are genuinely not that many..

Same here, hardly any ads at all.   The problem is that they can just suddenly increase the ads to  saturation point.

This, not Netflix but I'm with Amazon Prime, adverts at start are now 3 minutes or so, was only a bout a minute when ads first started

We've not long finished binge watching Bosch and Legacy and it annoyed the hell out of me, especially the ones they put in straight at the end which you only find out is the end when the "next week on Bosch..." bit pops up.
