LEBARA HELP
Hello to one and all
After the antics of O2 and reading what Martin had to say about dumping them I took the plunge and ported my number to Lebara
I've had the same number for many years and it's my number for all everyday activates so I was a little bit concerned if something went wrong and I lost the number, the process appeared to be straight forward and seamless, what could go wrong
My should have been transferred on Tuesday as of to day I still have no service, I've tried all the tips and tricks to see if it can be rectified my end to no avail.
Im getting nowhere with them, it went from trying all the tips and tricks to you number is in post port leave it for 24 hours then we've got technical issues porting numbers and we are urgently trying to fix it.
I can't help getting the feeling they are giving me the run around, can't seem to get through to someone other a script reader, the longer this goes on im getting seriously concerned I've lost my number now.
Has anyone got any idea on how I can get this resolved, one thought I had was asking them for a pac and porting it out to anther provider or would this just confuse things even more
Thanks for any advise

Funnily enough Ive just had an email from them, apologising for the issues during my transfer this week (took most of the day Wednesday, and then was left with no stable data connection until yesterday afternoon when they sent me the settings and that finally fixed it), maybe you have had the same email today0

Just spent 35 minutes on the chat going around in circles, sadly it was a real person not a bot, just kept giving scripted answers as if i was a dummy and can surely not be anything their end, the problems with me

I guess if it all goes swimmingly
but if you need the help of CS and the answer is not on their scrip you will be pulling your hair out, you get what you pay for i suppose, big regret trusting them now

I've had a similar experience recently, albeit not with the providers mentioned.
I wanted the x2 unlimited thingy at 1p Mobile (one for phone, one for mobile router) - they wouldn't transfer my existing sim over, let alone add one to it, so had to port one direct and port the other one out and back in.
The direct port went through smooth as anything. The other one, the port out, was a complete car crash - calls in went straight to voicemail, other than that, nothing (including texts to 65075!). Due to this had to get my PAC from Live Chat, which included the words "I'll have to investigate this"
which made me panic as it's a number I've had forever, but they did issue one for it.
Gave this to 1p to port back in (with crossed fingers) - took a while longer than the other one, confirmation email came through late afternoon, but yeah - worked as expected, all services present and correct.
With other providers your experience may vary of course, but that was mine - hopefully it wasn't too dull.0 -
That's a bit strange having to port out just to port in
did they give you any reason why?
I've still not got anywhere with my dispute, i eventually got them to escalate mine to a so called internal technical help that took me 4 days just to get that far, unfortunately the CS at Lebara is about as useful as a chocolate tea pot if you have a non scripted issue, you may just as well be talking to next doors cat.
I have today tested my phone with another Lebara sim card and all works perfect, so the issue is definitely with them botching up my port in, my main concern now is that i get my number back0 -
Update
Been a week since my number was meant to be ported to Labara, now they are going to send a new sim card
On the old sim card i can now call out and number shows my ported number but if i send a text it shows the number that came with the sim, still no inbound call or texts ( just says number not recognized ) but data is working, anyone ever had this happen ???0 -

A google search says...To fix an incorrect number showing in your iPhone texts,go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure your correct number is selected under "Start new conversations from:". You can also try toggling iMessage off and on, restarting your phone, and verifying your number in Settings > Phone > My Number.1
