Legislation going through Parliament at the moment does not come into effect until end of 2026?
So currently no change and reassessments will continue to apply until Government make any changes.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.2 -
The Universal Credit Act 2025 was passed into law on 3rd September, 2025:and monetary amounts affect the tax year 2026-27 onwards, so comes into affect at the beginning of April 2026 although the amendments to the UC Regulations to legislate for this have already been made by this act.Changes to the LCWRA element are detailed in Schedule 1 (Section 2) of the above act.Edit: not sure this answers the question thought, as it mostly deals with new LCWRA claims rather than existing claims.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Benefits & tax credits, Heat pumps and Green & Ethical MoneySaving forums. That legislation is changes to benefit rates.
Parliament still considering changes including combining work capability and PIP assessments. Believe there is a consultation process as part of this.The comments I post are personal opinion.
